The Simple Joys We Are Missing

When I picked up my daughter from kindergarten, she told she had a casual chat with her friend after prayer. Somehow I got really jealous of her because that's the simple joy we had been robbed off for almost a year. Even when the mosque was temporarily open for Jumaat I could only catch glimpses of my friends and not able to strike up a conversation as usual.

Even though I consider myself as introverted, the lack of casual chats starts to creep to my soul. Scheduled video call with friends are very poor substitute for it. The only practical way to fill this gap is striking up conversation while waiting to pay for stuffs at shops. It's such a blessing when you have fellow shoppers who are open for conversation despite being complete strangers.
