Scam Exploiting the Chaos
A new scam spotted in the wild
Spotted a new scam today trying to exploit the chaos of the pre-lockdown day. A SMS was sent purporting that my bank account will be terminated today if no action taken.
The message directs to a scam website and asks to login. The timing is particularly brutal as people can't affird to lose access to their account during lockdown. Assuming they sent the message to ten of thousands of people, most likely at least one people will just quickly follow the bogus instruction and had their account compromised.
It's sad but true...
